This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force''s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.What you will get to do:Estimate of 90% Technical & 10% functional management activitiesJob Scope: Responsible for daily operations of a team or work unit (direct supervision of the staff, assignment of work, schedules, day to day workflow, and operating costs). Program Manager Responsibilities include: cost, schedule, and technical performance of a specific unit or work package on a large system development-type contract or broad responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a delivery order or small technical services-type contract.Guidance Given, Assignments Received: Assignments are received in task oriented terms. Provides direction to subordinates using established policies and precedents. Work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.Knowledge and Technical Skills: Analysis & interpretation. Full working knowledge of procedures and practices.Decision Making: Relates more to specific job function. Risk to the Corporation is minimal. Makes decisions relating to accomplishment of daily work responsibilities.Direct Work Involvement: Monitors work operations of exempt and/or non-exempt employees on a daily basis and actively assists or provides direction to subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, on-going operational tasks of organizational groups.Policy Involvement: Executes department procedures that typically affect individual employees within own department. Policy management: Administers and executes policies and procedures that typically affect individual subordinate employees.Supervisory Relationships: Accomplishes tasks mainly through direct supervision of nonexempt and entry-level exempt employees. Meets the minimum requirements of executive exemption under the Fair Labor Standards Act.Operations Involvement / Direct Work Involvement: Monitors daily operations of a unit and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing operational tasks of organizations unit.Impact: Ensures that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures and schedules. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results might cause delays in program schedules and result in the allocation of more resources.Liaison: Majority of liaison is on internal basis with subordinates and supervisors at equivalent level or one level higher. Liaison normally involves specific phases of a project or operation. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.Basic Qualifications:Bachelors'' degree in a STEM related field with 5 years minimum experience in Systems Engineering practices, methodologies, and products throughout the DoD acquisition lifecycle.At least one year experience leading projects or cross-functional teamsExperience in Program Execution, Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, Processes, and Tools.Active DoD Secret clearance and the ability to be granted a Top Secret clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Master''s in engineering, Science Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline2 years of experience in any combination of Communications, Cyber, Systems, Software, or Hardware engineering disciplines accompanied by moderate proficiency in technical problem solving to include requirements decomposition, root cause analysis, solution developmentPrevious experience managing suppliersExperience in People and Technical Leadership roles.Experience developing, fielding, and/or operating Communications SystemsICBM experienceExperience with any of the following tools and languages: CORE, DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, ModelCenter, MagicDraw, Easy Power, Prima Vera, UML, SysMLRequirements Management: MBSE, Functional Block Diagrams, Specification TreesSystems and end item requirements validation and verificationDesign: Systems Design, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, N2 Analysis, Trade StudiesFailure Modes, Effects, and Criticality AnalysisDecision Making: Risk Management, Cost-Risk-Benefit AnalysisExperience with working with government/military personnel at government/military facilities.Systems Engineering V.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practicesExperience with Communication systems, RF and digital hardware design and Networking.''Salary Range: $103,300 USD - $154,900 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
