We are seeking a Tooling and Molding Technician for our Seguin, Texas Plant. This is a new, climate controlled manufacturing facility. Position Summary:Maintain and repair molds. Responding to all production calls from shift supervisors, regarding repairs and alterations to a mold or secondary equipment in production. This position reports to the Maintenance & Facilities Manager.Essential Job Functions:Operate such equipment as lathes, grinders, milling machines, radial drill presses, to include Bridgeport.Welding skills with TIG welding and referenceWeld and repair any tooling components.Troubleshoot tooling problems/process problems and design special tools, fixtures.Provide tooling assessments and technical assistance.Assist the Engineering and Manufacturing departments in developing methods to incorporate process/product improvement ideas.Fabrication of jigs and fixtures as needed to support manufacturing operations.Preventative Maintenance (clean and repair).Responsible for cleanliness and housekeeping in work area as well as assigned areas by supervision.Has responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective actions, and quality of products.Willingness to work overtime, holiday schedules and weekend if required to support manufacturing operations.Must be able to complete overhead crane and lock out tag out training.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications - ExternalQualifications:Certified Journeyman Tool Maker or equivalent documented experience required.High School Diploma or GED is required along with vocational training is strongly preferred.Must complete and pass a lift truck (tow motor) safety and lock out procedure program.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate must occasionally lift to 50 pounds.Working Conditions:Will be required to work within the plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat.
