Job DetailsJob LocationParker Clinic - Parker, COSalary Range$54,225.00 - $58,206.00 In an aim to help keep our patients, staff, and communities safe, STRIDE requires that all hired employees be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and to obtain an annual flu shot. STRIDE CHC employees are also required to be screened for tuberculosis and to complete a PPD test.What will you be doing in this role? A successful candidate will: General Purpose: In order to maintain safe and efficient operations and further the STRIDE CHC mission and vision in our clinics and community, the Dental Clinical Manager will provide general oversight of all dental assistant staff to ensure quality consumer service and enhanced patient satisfaction. The Dental Clinical Manager will be assigned to clinic(s) with a responsibility of greater than, or approximately, 1-8 dental providers. The position provides dental support staff with the structure, personnel, process and resource management necessary to meet both the needs of patients and the financial objectives of the organization. The Dental Clinical Manager contributes to and leads organizational change and improvement projects and manages team initiatives. This role will consistently cultivate and support a strong team culture and an integrated and collaborative environment centered on consistently delivering exceptional patient experiences and care and will work in partnership with the Practice Administrator and Dental Clinical Leadership assigned to their clinic(s). Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Collaborates with the Practice Administrators, Regional Directors of Operations, Hygiene Team Lead and the Director of Oral Health in establishing, implementing and maintaining quality patient care, to improve quality metric standards and to meet the external client expectations, while involving the dental care team in the QA/PI process. Maintains compliance with governing regulations and the rules of accrediting bodies by monitoring operations and initiating changes where required; works closely with team members to ensure successful completion of regulatory reviews and quality standards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance. Reviews data, prepares reports, compiles and analyzes statistics and answers correspondence to meet the needs of the Executive Team. Conducts regular audits on all aspects of the dental care delivery system to ensure that STRIDE goals, metrics, or standards are followed. Optimizes the financial performance. Develops and/or facilitates adherence to programs and initiatives that enhance productivity. Recommends, documents and executes standard protocols for closing gaps in dental services. Under the direction of the Practice Administrator, ensures clinic(s) of responsibility meet strategic goals associated with clinical quality outcomes, encounters, billing strategies, resource management, and growth projections in line with the organizational strategic initiatives, productivity goals, or budget plan. Monitors accuracy of registration and claim/ billing processes Ensures patient satisfaction surveys are completed within established benchmarks Ensures referral tracking thru completion is running efficiently with the Referrals & Records team Manages provider productivity standards while actively involving dental providers and care team Ensures an efficient and timely patient schedule, with appropriate use of blocks Reviews and actively manages the assigned panel lists monthly for appropriate size Inputs data into a staffing model/ratio worksheet to ensure the clinic is always properly staffed within the established STRIDE parameters. May implement a dynamic staffing approach to maximize resources. Actively manages direct reports to facilitate and ensure customer service expectations are exceeded. Supervises assigned staff including development, training, coaching, hiring, performance evaluation, time management and payroll. Ensures the clinic completes performance reviews within deadlines using appropriate templates and feedback techniques, may guide and assist with reviews for other staff members. Hold managers and supervisors accountable for duties outlined in their job description or duties assigned. Implement progressive disciplinary process using the approved HR forms. May complete write ups after consulting HR. Assist and coach managers and supervisors to effectively manage all staff. Assures staff competency, certification and training are adequate. Participates and assists in managing the hiring, orientation, and training process for new employees or existing staff. Day-to-day direct training/supervision/coaching of all Dental Assistants; including hiring/firing authority and input into performance appraisals, in consultation with dental providers. Serves as a liaison and lead communicator between Administration and all clinic staff. Communication should be presented in a concise, understandable fashion that provides sufficient information on the background and reasoning for decisions or initiatives. Seeks input and feedback from those affected by changes and shares this feedback during leadership team meetings or 1:1 discussion. Meet patient and patient family needs; taking responsibility for a patients safety, satisfaction, and clinical outcomes; using appropriate interpersonal techniques to resolve difficult patient situations and regain patient confidence. Assist the doctor and/or hygienist with dental procedures maintain excellent patient service, integrity and flow. Responsible for maintenance and repair of all dental equipment. Responsible for vendor management and oversight of oxygen/nitrogen, biohazard waste disposal, Annual Preventive Maintenance via HSS, dental supplies, x-ray inspections, works with the Facilities team to replace amalgam separators when required. Ensures all assigned clinic sites operate within defined business monthly budgets (office supplies, interpretation services, printers/copiers and taxi services).Essential Duties/Responsibilities in Partnership with PA, Dental Clinical Leadership and Associate Director Customer Care Center: Pioneers the ushering and integration of a service delivery model that includes care management, behavioral health, and medical services where applicable and as indicated during the Health Assessment, SBIRT, or SDOH screening processes. Meet regularly with Dental Clinical Leadership, Practice Administrator and/or FD Supervisor to ensure appropriate communication of departmental initiatives across clinic sites and to ensure departmental and organizational KPIs are being monitored and met. Work collaboratively with the Practice Administrator and clinic leadership during clinic crisis such as power outage, patient and staff safety incidents, etc. Solicit feedback and coordinate scheduling processes with Director of Oral Health, Practice Administrators, Regional Directors of Operations and the Associate Director of the Customer Care Center Management Responsibilities: Motivates and coach employees to provide attentive, efficient patient care and customer service, assessing employee performance and providing helpful feedback and training opportunities. Empower employees to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Provide oversight and direction to the employees in the operating unit in accordance with the organization''s policies and procedures. Responsible for hiring, disciplinary action and terminations with the support Recruiting and/or Human Resources. Ensures staff members follow company policies and procedures. Other duties to ensure the overall health and success of the business. Communicates job expectations; plans, monitors, and coaches, counsels, and disciplines employees. Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards; analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Coach team members to optimal performance and ensures monthly 1:1s and quarterly performance feedback are conducted in alignment with Core Competencies and STRIDE ICARE values. Education or Formal Training: REQUIRED: Bachelor Degree in Healthcare or Business Administration or related field and prior management experience in a dental setting. PREFERRED: Dental Assistant certification WILL CONSIDER: High school diploma or GED with, at least, 3 years of prior dental clinic management experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus but not required. Experience: Knowledge and experience in business, supervision, and management, preferably in a dental environment Knowledge of the functions, operation, and mission of the Dental Department. Material and equipment directly used:Computer, printer, multi-line telephone systems, mobile phone, personal transportation vehicle (required to travel to a variety of clinics), fax machine, copy machine, calculator, and all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel and the internet. Working environment/physical activities: Office environment within a clinical setting. Enters data into computer programs via computer, mouse and keyboard. Moves about the office environment and occasionally to other locations. Moves/transports objects up to 25 lbs occasionally. Communicates information to others.
