Our ideal candidate will be engaged, authentic, and prepared to operate an ''award winning'' hotel!Job Description- The General Manager is responsible for continually focusing on achieving hotel profitability through revenue generation, cost control, guest satisfaction and developing employees, while maintaining the integrity of the hotel. - Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion. - Conduct weekly staff meetings, including weekly training sessions presented by managers and self using the steps to effective training according to Highgate Hotel standards, and the review of previous and future sales and operations efforts. - Ensures compliance with company/franchise standards for personnel administration and performance, service to patrons, and room rate - Ensures staff received proper training for each position, including safety training and standard operating procedure. - Monitors cost controls for each department on a regular basis. - Resolve all service issues via written communication or phone calls to complete satisfaction of hotel customers. - Inspects guests'' rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance. - Adheres to all franchise and company procedures and regulations as well as standard operating procedures - Ensures bank deposits are made daily, including weekends and holidays. - Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment. Use distribution channels and technology platforms to drive revenue and maximize market share - Building owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations, and delivering solid business results - Ensuring sales engines are leveraged - Being active in the local community to build strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers - Develop and carry out action plans to be environmentally conscious by taking steps to reduce the hotel''s carbon footprint
