1480 PHP Web Developer Job DescriptionDirect hire opportunity for a mid-level PHP full stack developer to join the team. We are looking for someone with development knowledge and experience in PHP and full LAMP stack development technologies. The PHP developer will support and enhance applications, web services, CMS applications like WordPress, Apache and nginx web servers, MySQL databases, and framework applications built in Laravel and CakePHP.ResponsibilitiesWillingness and aptitude for working with various new technologies as needs arise.Responsible for development, support, and administration of applications written in standard "vanilla" PHP and PHP frameworks including, but not limited to Laravel, CakePHP, WordPress and CodeIgnitor.Responsible for managing and maintaining hosting environments.Assist with building internal processes, procedures, and methodologies, and work with Senior Developers to ensure process is repeatable and efficient.Assist with quality assurance tasks to ensure software compliance with current security and standards.Assist with documenting new application development standards.Assist with full software life cycle (SLC) of various application enhancements.Build and execute test plans and scripts, as required. Document application behaviors, results, and issues.Utilize standards for source code control and versioning systems, including but not limited to Git and SVN.Requirements2 years of experience with any of the PHP-development frameworks, such as Laravel, CakePHP, CodeIgnitor, or Symphony strongly preferred.2 years of experience developing web applications using any PHP-based CMS product, such as WordPress strongly preferred.2 years of experience with the Linux command line interface and Linux server support.1 years of experience designing databases and performance tuning SQL queries in any major RDBMS strongly preferred.Strong understanding of object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD) concepts.Strong understanding and knowledge of coding best practices and proven experience enforcing them in a team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated and capable of working in a dynamic environment. - provided by Dice
