Linux Systems Administrator Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local What You''ll Get to Do: Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier 1/Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages Linux/UNIX operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. Responsibilities: * Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems * Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems * Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems * Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems * Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers * Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning * Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems * Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets * Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process * Configure and manage UNIX (o r other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance You''ll Bring These Qualifications: * Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly * Bachelors degree plus 5 years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree. * 10 years'' experience as an SA * Experience in Linux and RedHat (RHEL) * DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I, II, or III certifications (CCNA, Network+, Security+, CISSP, etc.) What We Can Offer You: - We''ve been named a Best Place to Work by the Washington Post.- Our employees value the flexibility at CACI that allows them to balance quality work and their personal lives.- We offer competitive benefits and learning and development opportunities.- We are mission-oriented and ever vigilant in aligning our solutions with the nation''s highest priorities.- For over 55 years, the principles of CACI''s unique, character-based culture have been the driving force behind our success.
