Large entertainment and media corporation is looking to hire a Desktop Support Technician to work 100% onsite at their Seattle, WA location. Must have Mac / Apple support experience. POSITION SUMMARYThe Workplace Tech is an onsite role at the Seattle Office resolving client issues, supporting the core workplace IT equipment and productivity software.The role is responsible for a wide variety of support and activities. These include providing support for end-user mobile and PC/Mac, Operating Systems (OS) and hardware, virtual and physical desktop environments, desktop applications, and other standard enterprise solutions. In addition, the technician acts as a subject matter expert on enterprise technologies.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for providing support to users and executives includes:Software and system fault diagnosis, analysis, and fixTaking responsibility for stock used and following the correct procedures regarding CMDB stock managementUse of Service Now ticketing systemBuilding new machines within the time scales provided by the Team Lead, provisioning devicesInstalling additional applications on the new equipmentProactively keeping customers updatedWorking alongside management and engineering teams on planning project workMeeting room/AV supportTelephony supportExecutive support Job Responsibilities% of Time Spent Desktop SupportProvides technical support by performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of desktop software and hardwareInstalls, configures and deploys desktop hardware and software, including virtual environmentsSupports day-to-day operational and support activities of the desktop computing, desktop, laptop, workstations and workplace support servicesTroubleshoots desktop software and hardware failures and identifies related network problemsCoordinates end user installations, configurations and deployment of desktop software/hardware and other standard enterprise end user technology productsProvides on-call support as requiredProvides physical onsite "smart hands" support to infrastructure teams for maintenance tasks or incident supportProvides executive support90%Provides support to AV and VC equipment in meeting rooms and spacesProactive meeting room checksMeeting room "how to "support 10íucationBachelor''s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experienceProfessional/ Technical Training, Licenses or CertificationsPreferred:A+ certificationITIL V3 FoundationMCSEApple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT)ExperienceSignificant experience in a technical support role performing installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of infrastructure technology, or equivalent combination of education and work experience Experience training, mentoring or supervising junior staff membersSpecialized KnowledgeMicrosoft Office Suite 365Demonstrated knowledge pertaining to mobile devices, telephony, laptops, workstations, desktops, virtual and physical environments and other workplace technologyExtensive experience related to problem resolutionAbility to analyze existing operations to improve and grow the Client Technologies operating environmentSkillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong team playerExcellent Customer ServicesProven analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentStrong documentation skills and keen attention to detail - provided by Dice
