Mechanical Engineer II with Security Clearance

JRC is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer II. This position will have primary responsibility in providing engineering and program support necessary to carry on the endeavors of Naval Surface Warfare Center support. This position will work closely with the Navy customer. This position reports to the JRC Test and Operations Manager and requires close coordination with home office personnel, the government office personnel, and NSWC Crane personnel. Job Purpose: The Mechanical Engineer II will support the Strategic Systems Hardware Division, working closely with engineers on planning, logistics, design, test and evaluation, systems engineering, continuous process improvement and program management. The Mechanical Engineer will be the liaison between NSWC Crane and contractors on technical and programmatic matters as it relates to the development, execution, and reporting of the Strategic Systems Hardware support. Description: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible to support JRC''s efforts with the Strategic Systems Hardware program; these items support our nation''s nuclear deterrent on the OHIO class and COLUMBIA class submarines. *Temporarily 100% telecommuting due to COVID social distancing guidelines Key Duties: * Review Design Disclosures, Change Requests, Discrepancy Reports, Test Reports and other documentation to report and resolve issues * Develop, maintain, issue and track weekly updates for the Navy Program Manager to include agenda, minutes and action items as required * Coordinate with NSWC Crane and sponsoring agencies including SSP and AF customers and contractors in the support of strategic hardware * Develop and review documentation, requirements, and supporting material for technical accuracy and impact to the requirements documents * Develop presentations for technical reviews * Perform technical analysis of schedules * Format specifications, directives, and correspondence in accordance with Navy and local requirements for local JRC team Requirements: * Secret Clearance * Engineering Degree from Accredited University, or equivalent experience JRC IntegratedSystems, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V General Skills/Attributes: * Technical writing and documentation * High quality in communication and presentation development * Knowledge with schedule development and evaluation * Must have a government security clearance at the SECRET level Specific Skills/Qualifications: * Must have a BS in Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited institution or equivalent years of experience * 5 plus years experience * 3D modeling and 2D drafting preferred * Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills * Requirements Management
