Job Description:Indorama Integrated Oxides & Derivatives is currently looking for a dynamic individual to work as an Instrumentation Technician located at our Port Neches, Texas facility. In this role, you will be responsible for maintenance & repair of digital and pneumatic instrumentation including, but not limited to, PLC/DCS, analyzers, transmitters, chromatographs, and gas detectors. The technician is able to manage a broad scope of projects and technology. Ability to accurately troubleshoot, calibrate, and bench-test equipment is a fundamental component of this role. Additional activities include maintenance, repair, replacement reliability checks, improvements, additions, and capital installations.What will be expected from youInstallation, removal, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration of instrumentsDiagnose malfunctions on control systems.Repair, overhaul and calibrate instrument and control devicesAble to interpret, understand, and utilize specification sheets from applications such as IN Tools.Work closely with area Instrument Engineers.Performs preventive maintenance and calibration activities, documenting results and findings.Programs and repairs control system components (valves, transmitters, etc.) and other equipmentInstalls and tests new electronic components independently or under supervision depending upon the nature of equipmentUse of electronic testing, diagnostic, and device communication toolsPrepares schematic ''as-built'' and installation diagrams for telemetry and control equipmentMust be able to follow site protocols for documenting work and equipment repair histories as applicablePerforms clean-up of instrumentation work areas and areas where repair and maintenance tasks have occurred in the plant and units.Must be available to work overtime Must be available to respond to call-outsCommunicate instrumentation needs to all levels of the organizationParticipates in Company required training programs and maintains required electrical credentialsCompletes required computer-based training within specified timeframes and maintains current knowledge in the instrumentation areaTroubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions, and documents failure analysis of I&E equipmentSets up and calibrates, tests, measures, and repairs all types of electrical controls, instruments, and electronic variablesActively participates in the implementation of the Maintenance Work Process for I&E workAssists PPM Coordinator and ME role in defining appropriate electrical spare parts neededUpdates and follows daily maintenance scheduleMaintain accurate records including calibrations, electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDsSupports Root Cause Failure Analysis for I&E componentsEssential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if neededWork collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectivesAssists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama''s company and site goalsFollows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisorParticipates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the companyWhat are we looking for in the ideal candidate?High School Diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate Degree in Instrumentation or completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or 5 years of Instrument Technician experience in a petrochemical or refining facility requiredMust have or be able to quality for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
