Job Description The Hypersonic Manager/Technical Team Lead will coordinate and work proposal captures whilst assembling a team that has the skills to support response efforts and then technical activities upon contract award. Responsibilities include the introduction and implementation of all necessary proposal procedures and governance. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. The individual will be begin as the concept development manager for a conventional hypersonic capability, which upon award will transition into managing the team of technical performers working the new contract. The mission of the program is to design, build, and sustain an evolving multi-service hypersonic capability at the speed of relevance for the warfighter, by aligning national resources, strengthening partnerships, and fostering an agility-centered culture.ExperienceProven ability in planning, producing, and delivering compliant proposals within a complex business environment. The person to fill this position will be experienced in scheduling and running proposal kick-off meetings, leading storyboarding sessions, facilitating key review meetings / final document review, coordinating proposal governance / sign off, document production, and delivery of the completed proposal. Typically, they will have experience of designing, managing, and updating a Content Library or Proposal Automation Solution.The employee shall provide the following program management/technical support including but not limited to the following tasks:* Delivery of compliant, professionally produced proposals within customer defined timeframes* Coordinate and review / edit proposal input from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving multiple contributions* Communicate and influence at a senior level * Manage a team comprised of Systems Engineering & Integration and Logistics Engineers Required Education, Experience, & Skills A Bachelor''s degree with a minimum of ten (10) years'' relevant experience or Master''s degree with a minimum of eight (8) years'' relevant experience:* US citizen* DoD Secret Clearance * Demonstrated people and project management experience* Extensive experience with customer facing roles * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills* Analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities* Strong time management / prioritization skills* Ability to coach sales teams in persuasive writing and proposal best practice* Proposal automation software (or similar) experience* Document template management in line with company branding* Knowledge of corporate business planning cycles and integrated business plan development and execution strategies Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Highly desired, but not required:* DoD TS Clearance * Project Management Professional (PMP) certification* Experience with business capture and proposal strategy/authoring* Defining professional/technical direction and strategy* Facilitating and leading growth of a program area* Knowledge of corporate business planning cycles and integrated business plan development and execution strategies* Experience with Strategic Weapon Systems About BAE Systems Intelligence & Security BAE Systems, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of BAE Systems plc, an international defense, aerospace and security company which delivers a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services.
