Work Location: Remote with meetings in local office (Kings Point, NY) once per month Position Responsibilities: Kingfisher is seeking an Information Security Specialist II to support a government agency onsite to provide support to the Security Assessment and Authorization process. Prepare, conduct and document system assessments. Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations, defines and designs system specifications, and evaluates input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Analyzes system deficiencies. Defines designs and develops system requirements. Performs tradeoff analyses of performance, life-cycle cost, risk, productivity, and other system or program requirements. Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system. Defines system support requirements. Analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Conducts independent technical investigations in systems design. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. Minimum Requirements: * Provide technical analysis, coordinate assessment activities, and perform technical writing to ensure documentation complies with privacy and Section 508 requirements. * Perform CP testing with the Teams assistance. * Conduct security assessments, including gathering information for analysis, preparing documents, and providing recommendations concerning the security * Proficiency with NIST Special Publications * Proficiency in verbal and written communications. * Proficiency in interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in handling multiple tasks concurrently. * Proficiency in project and time management. * Familiarity with GRC tool * Ability to adjust to changing priorities. * Due to the nature of work performed, U.S. citizenship is required Required Certification: Certified Authorization Professional (CAP) or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) while progressing toward their senior certification of CISSP and/or CISA. Clearance: Minimum, a US Government Public Trust High-Risk Security Clearance.
