LTC is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to provide logistic support services to programs and projects for a USMC customer located in Stafford, VA. Job Title: Sr. Logistics Specialist III Job Description: The Logistics Specialist supports assigned project team in developing various logistics documents in accordance with the designated ACAT level, and directs the design of systems, and their associated subsystems, for supportability, and integrates the twelve logistics elements and related disciplines (i.e. configuration management, reliability, maintainability, and environmental, safety and health). Specific Duties: Develops, reviews, and updates Fielding Plans.Drafts, reviews, and updates Technical Instructions (Tis), Supply Instructions (Sis), and Modification Instructions (Mis) and deliver the same for Government approval.Support Independent Logistics Assessments (ILA) and program milestones/events; draft, review and staff life cycle logistics documentation including Fielding Plans, Disposal Plans, Logistics Requirements & Funding Summaries (LRFS) utilizing the Marine Corps LRFS Cost Estimating Tool (CET); in accordance with applicable DoD, DoN, and MCSC policies and guidelines.Monitor and report on discrepancies found in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) inventories, Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Government Furnished Property (GFP) inventories.Update GFP, Equipment Off Property Records (EOPR) and Military Equipment (ME) data and load Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) into the FIAR SharePoint site.Supports the development of acquisition documentation/plans, system integration, risk assessment, systems modifications, testing activities, and program planning.Supports various requirements related to the development and execution of budget/funding initiatives, acquisition and logistics support and will be required to draft presentations/briefs for presentation to various audiences, support Integrated Product Groups, Independent Logistics Assessments and Milestone Decisions meetings, and coordinate with various Government and support contractor representatives.Anticipates logistics problems related to operational area and environmental and human factors; determines contingency requirements and solutions.Support and facilitate Manpower, Personnel & Training (MP&T) IPTs following the Marine Corps Systems Command''s MP&T process. Conduct MPT Analysis (per MARADMIN 431/13), develop MPT Analysis Reports (MAR) and develop MP&T Plans based on the MAR in support of milestone events.Develop and update training packages including Lesson Plans, Periods of Instruction, PowerPoint Presentations) to support New Equipment Training and Instructor & Key Personnel (I&KP) training events in accordance with the Systems Approach to Training (SAT) User Guide, NAVMC 1553.1.May design and conduct research or technical studies to support acquisition logistic functions.Ability to work independently and present program logistics plans in accordance with program schedules is key.Liaison with Marine Forces regarding training and fielding events to capture user input and evaluation data. Travel to Marine Corps units, system vendor facilities, etc. may be required.Must have the ability to travel up to 25%. Required Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess the following: Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET ClearanceBachelor''s Degree or equivalent experience in a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in acquisition/program management support for DoD/USCM programs.Ability to work independently or in a team environmentAttention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with Global Combat Support System-Marine Corps Desired Qualifications: Additional desirable qualifications include the following: DAWIA Level 2 certification in Lifecycle logistics is preferredExperience working with United States Marine Corps (USMC) customers; knowledge of MCSC customers preferredSelf-starter qualities with the ability to learn quickly Working Environment and Physical Requirements: This position largely operates in a professional office environment.
