Project Manager, Drug Discovery

About the role We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, solution-focused Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for actively managing technical, cross-functional teams to ensure the advancement of projects in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The Project Manager will manage timelines, deliverables, risks, decisions, and alignment with senior leadership. Some project teams may be closely integrated with one or more external partners and will require collaboration and communication skills bridging both project and alliance management. The successful candidate has strong soft skills, including effective communication, and organization. Key Responsibilities: Helps guide high performing, cross-functional teams in completing projects aligned with business initiatives by a set deadline Sets/adjusts project schedules, assigns tasks on the project to team members best positioned to complete them Communicates with stakeholders, drives decision-making, monitors progress of project Helps resolve conflicts between team members and with partner organizations to ensure a productive work environment Guides the team in making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project Serves as point of contact for teams when multiple departments/organizations are working on the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy Communicates progress and escalates issues to keep project aligned with overall Company goals Manages project meetings, emails project updates, follows up to ensure action items are completed, coordinates with vendors as needed, develops meeting agendas and documents meeting minutes as needed Within project teams with partner organizations, maintains awareness of partner interests, priorities, capabilities, and culture; ensures open communication and close alignment between internal and external stakeholders Proactively identifies and escalates risks, gaps, and challenges; works with teams to develop solutions to problems Serves as key point of contact for company for information around project scope, deliverables, timelines, interdependencies, status, and key risks Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and responds to issues in a timely manner About you We are seeking an exceptional candidate with the following qualifications: Minimum Bachelor''s Degree required; advanced degree preferred Minimum 5 years experience in life science industry (biotechnology or pharmaceutical) with demonstrated experience managing or influencing cross-functional drug discovery project teams Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills Exceptional interpersonal skills, with ability to resolve conflict internally and externally across multiple stakeholders Demonstrated agility and ability to navigate and be successful in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Team player who is able to delegate effectively Excellent written and verbal communications skills Demonstrated ability to work proactively with high attention to detail, both independently and collaboratively in a complex team environment Self-driven, able to set priorities, drive results and build alignment in a dynamic environment with multiple viewpoints Proficiency with project management and office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Slack or similar Treeline Biosciences is committed to protecting the health and safety of our team.
