Job Description

Performs cost control/collection functions and tracking/status of commitments, obligations and expenditures.Responsible for coordination of budget formulation and execution, performance measurement, variance analysis reporting, MEAC/LRE preparation and schedule development and status. Specific responsibilities include:Compiles and documents budgetary requirements (long and short term) with the assistance of the technical managersEstablishes and maintains cost schedulesReviews planned budgeted work packages and determines the appropriate type of effort designation, Level of Effort (LOE) or Discrete (DISProcesses all budget/schedule change documentation, Budget Activity Transfer (BAT), Budget Change Requests (BCR), Change Pages and Carryover RequestsAssists with the development and input of earned value and cost accruals.Assists with the development, analysis, and submission of cost and schedule variances.Assists with the development, review, and input of Management Estimates at Completion (MEAC) and Latest Revised Estimates (LRE). Identifies and verifies sources of funding to support site expendituresMaintains site charge numbers and assigns/verifies/reviews/approves proper charge number ? cost center, cost element, work breakdown structure usage on time cards, purchase requests, travel authorizations, check requests, credit card purchases, etcActs as the site liaison with Finance, Information Technology and Services (ITS), and New Orleans Operations and Maintenance (O&M)Creates, reviews, and maintains Task Identification and Planning Sheets (TIPS).In addition to the responsibilities listed above, Business Supervisors are responsible for a variety of support functions. Although these functions may vary from site to site due to differences in site configurations, missions, and organizational structures, site support responsibilities typically include:Coordinates site administrative and support functions, including preparation of reports, scheduling and conducting meetings, and maintenance of petty cash and checking accounts.Develops, revises and distributes administrative policies and procedures.Exercises immediate management responsibility and control of site Procurement, Configuration Management, Communications and Timekeeping functions.Prepares travel authorizations, including travel arrangements and auditing expense reports.Prepares and submits reports such as the weekly activity report and facsimiles to O&M in New Orleans.Maintains site central files to include all auditable files Job Opening and Closing Dates 8/03/2022 - 9/05/2022 Qualifications REQUIRED: Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business Administration curriculum and five years experience in cost and schedule control systems and/or business/financial management systems and/or procurement systems. HS diploma/GED and Eight years experience in cost and schedule control systems and/or business/financial management systems and/or procurement systems will be accepted in lieu of degreeDESIRED: Familiarity with SAP and currently-used MOC hardware, software, and management programs with O&M functions and organizational relationships is highly desirable. Familiarity with support functions such as procurement, and administrative support is highly desirable
