Mount Indie is adding Network Engineer to a San Diego headquartered, innovation-driven company. This company specializes in delivering innovative communications, networking, and computing solutions for U.S. defense agencies and our nation''s warfighters. You''ll be a part of a team creating game-changing products and solutions that ensure secure, reliable information and communications at the tactical edge. About this role: Do you thrive in innovative, design-driven environments with a high level of both accountability and trust? Are you eager to apply your hands-on experience implementing and configuring tactical network communications systems to support innovative solutions for complex network architectures? If so - we want to hear from you! This team is currently developing, integrating, and testing secure communications networks for U.S. defense agencies that improve the sharing of information among warfighters distributed throughout airborne, maritime, and ground environments. Must have in-depth experience with Linux and virtualized systems. What you''ll do: •Provide input for network architecture and optimization schemes •Develop and implement network security architectures with HAIPE, IPSEC, TLS, and other protocols •WAN, LAN, WLAN, VOIP setup and troubleshooting •Configure switch port and router settings •Configure and troubleshoot network systems •Support design, development, and test efforts for an airborne tactical networking system •Implement router protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, BGP, PPPoE, and MANET •Implement IA controls and ensure compliance with DoD RMF •Work as a team throughout the design process, supporting sprint planning sessions, code reviews, and scrums •Get in front of real-world operators to understand needs and requirements from an end-user point of view We are looking for: •B.S. in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related Technical field, or 5 years equivalent experience •Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Routing & Switching (or CCNA Security) •3+ years of experience as a network engineer •Understanding of networking fundamentals including VLANs, subnets, protocols, and standards •Demonstrated experience with Linux OS •Experience with FIPS level encryption standard over networks •Experience with implementing and managing a certificate authority for PKI •Experience with Linux System Administration, firewalls and settings •Experience with virtualized systems applications and administration (VMWare, Esxi) •Excellent communication skills •US Citizen •Ability to obtain secret clearance Nice to have: •CISSP •Network Operating Systems Certificate •CompTia Security + •Knowledge of wireless controllers (CISCO, Juniper), wireless access points and the ability to deploy and configure them •Working knowledge or experience with military networking systems and/or tactical data links •Experience with US Navy Communications Networks such as ADNS/ISNS/CANES •Knowledge of Navy Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Systems (C4IR)
