Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. If associate is remote, all home office expenses and any travel/lodging to specific East Hanover site for periodic live meetings will be at the employee''s expense. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position may require up to 20% travel. This is a US based position. We''re committed to peak performance, improving the quality of life, and embracing and leveraging diverse backgrounds, cultures, and talents to achieve competitive advantage.Reporting to the VP, Strategic Data Products, the ED, Data Capabilities and Data Quality?is a key member of the Innovative Medicine leadership team and is responsible for designing,?assessing,?sourcing, building, and ensuring the ongoing quality of the ''next-generation'' of data solutions as per the Integrated Marketing (IM) vision of?enabling Innovative Medicine for speed-to-insights, self-service, and automation.?These strategic enablers will support new ways of working across all next generation engagement channels for patients, HCPs, pharmacists, and payers in a customer centric fashion.This leadership role will approach?data as an investment?by driving?analytical consumption behavioral change leading to cost optimization, productization & automation of quality?while collaborating with IM US LT. The role requires enabling optimal data acquisition,?contracting,?integration,?while ensuring the?implementation & automation of end-to-end governance, data operations, data quality considering the volume, variety (structured, unstructured, semi-structured data) and multiple offline/online customer touchpoints.This role will have the responsibility to ensure optimal market data visibility for all stakeholders. This leader is responsible for the strategic and tactical decision making across the group.Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:* Proactively lead efforts across Strategic Data Products to ensure that our capabilities evolve to support future Novartis?Innovative Medicine''s objectives* Collaborates with ethical, legal, and compliance team to apply governance based on data and AI ethics for fully compliant data procurement?& consumption?while maximizing automation and integration with data and analytics ecosystem.* Shapes?and executes data strategies; Identifies, assesses, and optimizes opportunities to align with executive leadership to achieve our outcome-driven goal of spend optimization* Drives thought leadership in external data purchase aligned with four ''Cs of next generation engagement (consumer, content, channel, cadence) for unified HCP, patient and account profiles mapped to customer journeys with efficiency through automation as primary focus* Leads data quality framework on Omnichannel data from various customer touchpoints (campaigns (SFMC,3PE), CDP, CIPM, clickstream, social, offline channels, RTEs, SMS/MMS etc.) for end-to-end data automation and readiness in cookie-less, ML-OPs & NLP (natural language processing) world, and has strong prior experience with both internal and external data (e.g. Digital engagement, Claims, Syndicated, CRM)* Lead the design and implementation of?digital,?franchise,?and market-specific data sourcing and integration strategies to address gaps in vendor offerings* Ensure that Novartis?Innovative Medicine is maximizing its investment in data by leading a team that serves as the internal experts and proactively educates stakeholders on the availability and proper use of data?while automating, cost optimizing and harmonizing for redundancy.* Partner with Data Products and Enablement, Master Data Management and broader?DIA & Innovative Medicine?teams to design?& analyze each?data source?for the appropriate uses and limitations of data for successful enablement and consumerization data as strategic assetDiversity & Inclusion / EEOThe Novartis Group of Companies are Equal Opportunity Employers and take pride in maintaining a diverse environment. Master''s degree preferred* Minimum 12 years of professional experience in Pharma, and or life sciences consulting with progressively increasing responsibility* 10+ years of business analysis and/or stakeholder management experience?driving optimization, efficiencies, change management & automation across data & digital eco-system.* Strategy and/or consulting experience preferred* Proven understanding of specialty and rare disease business metrics including their derivation, accuracy, and appropriate uses preferred* Strong understanding of US Healthcare and how it manifests itself in data - including but not limited to product distribution, treating & prescribing, payer dynamics & customer engagement.* Expert knowledge and hands-on analytical capabilities with?digital &?healthcare datasets including but not limited to?customer journeys, patient-level claims (closed and open), prescription data, lab/testing data, sales & distribution data, access & formulary,?content & channel data.* Experience in working with senior leadership in defining, promoting, and aligning for organizational behavioral change to drive optimization and related harmonization and efficiency for data & analytical consumptiontransformingforgrowthWhy Novartis?766 million lives were touched by Novartis medicines in 2021, and while we''re proud of this, we know there is so much more we could do to help improve and extend people''s lives.We believe new insights, perspectives and ground-breaking solutions can be found at the intersection of medical science and digital innovation.
