The work is meaningful, the culture is rewarding, and the purpose is eternal.The Agile Solutions Architect 2 position exists to work collaboratively with product managers, other solution architects, technical teams, and ministry leadership. This position shepherds the definition, design, implementation, and enhancement of the technologies and code bases that support a set of Focus on the Familys digital products and/or associated business systems. This position is also responsible for working closely with key business stakeholders to understand current and desired business strategies, capabilities, and requirements; assisting in turning those needs into product and technical roadmaps; and creating prioritized backlogs for their technical team that lead to innovative and sustainable solutions to complex business problems. The Agile Solutions Architect 2 is a fully dedicated member of a technical Agile team. Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Acts as a liaison between select product managers, key ministry stakeholders, and an Agile team, fostering productive, collaborative relationships to ensure that business value and vision are achieved in an effective and efficient manner Collaborates closely with select product managers to learn, understand and anticipate the business strategies, problems, capabilities, and requirements for their digital products and/or associated business systems Collaborates with their Agile team to research, determine, document, and recommend the best solution for a given set of requirements and articulate the trade-offs involved in choosing one solution over another Collaborates with their Agile team to design, deliver, integrate, maintain, and/or enhance technology solutions, including enterprise applications, custom software, cloud infrastructure, web/mobile applications, or the like. May collaborate specifically on solutioning complex problems or requirements around the use of Salesforce products and architectureContributes to and evangelizes the ministrys technology strategy, principles, architecture, and governance, acting as a SME for assigned ministry products, business systems, and related industry best practices. Assists the ministry in keeping its technology stack simple, agile, and safe Collaborates with product managers in the creation, maintenance, and execution of applicable product and associated technical roadmaps Creates, prioritizes, and manages an up-to-date, visible, transparent, and DEEP backlog that supports the product and technical roadmaps for assigned digital products, as well as their ongoing maintenance and enhancement. Grooms associated user stories, clearly defining the business value, need and requirements in a way that is easily understandable by both business stakeholders and an Agile team Validates that an Agile team has delivered agreed upon solutions and desired business value. Gives final acceptance for user stories, holding the team accountable that delivered solutions meet the agreed upon definition of done Leads review sessions (demos) with product managers, key business stakeholders and an Agile team, telling the story of the business value delivered and why stakeholders should care. Encourages and curates effective feedback and ensures it is appropriately incorporated into backlogs Facilitates healthy discussion and conflict among product managers and key ministry stakeholders competing for day-to-day prioritization of finite capacity to achieve agreeable tradeoffs or win-win scenarios Works with Enterprise Project Management Office project managers to clarify requirements, identify, and help eliminate cross-department dependencies, track to deadlines, and communicate appropriately for their teams portion of enterprise projects May participate in various operational activities of the Agile team, including software engineering, application configuration or management, and/or site reliability engineering, in compliance with the teams Agile, collaborative practices (e.g., peer review; pairing; cross-training; etc.) Assists with selection, management and oversight of vendors and consultants for applicable technology efforts and needs, partnering with the Purchasing department and key ministry stakeholders as applicable Participates as part of the Digital Solutions department leadership team, providing specialized feedback, advice, insight, and guidance as appropriate. May participate in the Technology departments leadership team meetingsAssists with initial rounds of interviewing, including phone screens and initial interviews Coordinates and leads appropriate Communities of Practice regarding solution architecture and product development processes and concepts, providing advice to and educating technology teams and internal clients as appropriate Mentors and grows other technologists within the ministry Other Duties/Responsibilities: On-call to provide after-hours and weekend support when necessary Participates in on-going training opportunities Perform other duties as assigned Working Environment/Physical Requirements: Primarily on-campus office environmentFrequent sitting and computer useOccasional domestic travel This role may require occasional travel including nights and weekends JOB QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Character/Spiritual: Exemplifies Ephesians 5:1-2, Therefore be imitators of God as dear children and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us...
