Outstanding Faculty Opportunity: Associate Medical Director in Clinical Efficiency and Value Under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Efficiency and Value, the Associate Medical Director will support collaborative efforts focused on improving the value of health care throughout Cedars-Sinai. The Associate Medical Director will work with multi-disciplinary teams, both within Clinical Efficiency and Value and with other stakeholders, to identify clinical perspectives that enhance clinical efficiency and appropriateness of care. The goal is to meet the needs of third-party payers to enhance Cedars-Sinai''s competitiveness to secure payer contracts AND to ensure that Cedars-Sinai achieves internal clinical efficiencies to enhance operational performance"”all while maintaining or improving the overall quality of care delivered. Essential Qualifications: Medical Degree from an accredited medical school Board Certification or Board Eligible in clinical specialty (Internal Medicine preferred but not required) Unrestricted California license as Physician Minimum of five years work experience following completion of training Basic knowledge of key issues in value-based care, reimbursement mechanisms, payer priorities, at-risk agreements. Demonstrated expertise/experience in review and synthesis of evidence-based literature and data, including practice guidelines Prior participation in development and implementation of programs to enhance clinical efficiency and appropriateness of care Eligible for appointment to the appropriate academic rank in the CSMC Professorial Series.
