Rincon Consultants, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager who will support our Cultural Resources project management team. Under the direction of a Cultural Resources Project Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with project scheduling, budget tracking, the oversight and/or completion of fieldwork, delegation, and management of tasks to associate staff, preparation and review of deliverables, and coordination with clients. What Do You Get to Do in This Position:Work under the direction of a Project ManagerAssist with the management of clients, projects and proposals, deliverables, associate staff, and fieldwork Coordinate with local Native American groups and Rincon employees, assist Project Managers with coordination with subcontractors, and vendorsWork in multidisciplinary teams for successful project executionAssist project managers in preparing cultural resources studies that identify, evaluate and assess effects/impacts to cultural resources Participation in mentorship of junior staff and participation in Rincon''s Mentorship Program as a mentee/mentor.Work in support of multiple projects with varied regulatory requirements including Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)Other duties as required by cultural resources Project Managers, Program Managers, and others This Job Might Be for You If You Have the Following:Minimum of 2 years of cultural resources management experience in a consulting environmentA minimum of a B.A. in Anthropology or related fieldExperience in historical and/or pre-contact archaeologyAn understanding of CEQA and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) as they relate to cultural resources and related fields, and Section 106 of the NHPAStrong technical writing skillsStrong work ethic, demonstrated leadership ability, effective communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects Prior experience in California CRMDesired: Register of Professional Archaeologists (RPA) or Registered Archaeologist (RA) certificationExperience working directly with utility providers and experience working under the direction of an environmental plannerExperience/working relationships with local Native American groupsMeets the qualifications as a BLM approved Field DirectorRincon Consultants, Inc. is an award-winning leader in providing quality environmental consulting services throughout California.
