Position Summary Federal Data Systems is seeking V ulnerability Assessment and Analysis Specialists to support NSA Network Security Services (NNSS) . Vulnerability Assessment & Analysis Specialists p erform ongoing, comprehensive vulnerability assessments of network cybersecurity risks to enable risk management and mitigation activities. Essential Job Functions * Conduct research and analysis to stay up to date with current vulnerabilities and associated risk to NSA enterprise . * Provide documentation of risk analysis and potential impact to systems to stakeholders. * Implement mitigations in accordance with cyber incident response plan. * Understand network security architecture concepts . * Understanding of commonly used network topolog ies and protocols . * Conduct analysis of vulnerability scans from sources such as Verodin , Nessis or RedSeal . * Write comprehensive risk assessments on impacts of vulnerabilities found. * Utilize automated and manual testing methods to validate vulnerability testing methods. Discover and remediate inadequate security practices. * Perform after-action reviews of all associated team efforts and products to ensure completion and accuracy of analysis. * Lead and mentor team members as a technical expert. Minimum Required Qualifications * Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required. * Active Top Secret Security Clearance with CI polygraph is required. * Four years of demonstrated experience as a Vulnerability Assessment and Analysis Specialist * One year of experience with technical reporting. * One year of experience with network and threat analysis. * Multiple shifts available. Working Conditions: Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager. Physical Requirements: May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
