Technical Consultant12 month contract (10/01/2022-09/30/2023)Onsite in Albany NYNeed a very highly experienced consultant who has extensive experience with ''Oracle'' and ''Cloud'' and ''Database Development'' and ''ETL'' and ''Analytics'' and ''SQL'' and ''Python''Scope of Work: The technical consultant will have responsibility for supporting analytics with COVID-19 data, planning and execution to support the transition of the mission critical databases supported by the client Division from Oracle to Cloud-based architecture. The consultant will oversee planning, SME interviews, guiding training, coordination, and database development. This consultant will work with internal and external partners on extracting required data from various databases, streamlining data received from applicable vendors/labs, matching data sets and conducting analytics. The consultant will lead efforts to gather requirements and the applicable analytics. The services this consultant will provide directly support Increasing capacity for timely data management, analysis, and reporting for COVID-19 and other emerging coronavirus and other infections and conditions of public health significance and the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the COIVD-19 testing and vaccine related data. Duties:Manage the day to day supporting of existing of Covid-19 and conditions of public health significance databasesProvide technical leadership and expertise to support the transition of the mission critical databases supported by the Bureau of Surveillance and Data Systems (BSDS) in the Division of Epidemiology from Oracle to Cloud-based platforms. Work with internal and external partners on extracting required data from various databases, streamlining data received from applicable vendors/labs, matching data sets and conducting analyticsProvide the technical expertise to quickly turn vague business requirements into technical requirements in support of data extracts.Provide subject matter expertise for requirements gathering to determine data needs by various dashboards for Executive decision support. Provide technical leadership to develop and maintain a technical solution for enhancing databases with appropriate spatial data as needed.
