General Job Description: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the general accounting functions, supervises Staff Accountants and Accounts Payable, and will provide analytical and administrative support to the Director of Accounting and Tax. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conduct monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, accounts analysis, and monthly closing entries.• Supervise daily accounting functions to include: accounts payable, journal entries, daily and weekly reporting.• Assist Director of Accounting and Tax in completion of year-end duties.• Assist with annual budget preparation and annual audit.• Ensure established policies and procedures are followed and regulatory requirements and standards are met. • Conduct budget analysis on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.• Conduct cash flow analysis and cash flow projections. • Communicates with internal and external customers in a courteous and professional manner • Understand and comply with GAAP, local, state and federal tax laws• Performs other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: • Bachelor''s degree in accounting, finance, or business required.• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role.• Strong knowledge of MS Office Excel and accounting software.• Experience in multiple areas of healthcare finance and accounting.• Knowledge of accrual-based accounting and month end closing procedures.Preferred Qualifications: • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)• Master''s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration • Familiarity with GAAPEEO/AA-M/F/disabled/protected veteran*Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
