Our schools focus on building communication, social, behavioral, vocational, and academic skills.Who are you?Occupational Therapists at May Institute ensure the quality of occupational therapy programs by supervising and providing consultations to the daily performance of the teaching staff in their occupational therapy work with students.The May Institute serves students across the autism spectrum, including those with significant challenging behaviors. The occupational therapist will work with and interact with these students on a daily basis and will be required to implement physical management procedures using Safety Care approved interventions.Responsibilities:* Completing assessments and writing objectives.* Developing functional activities to meet the needs of the students.* Providing in-services to classroom staff.* Consulting to classroom staff regarding students'' OT needs.* Providing direct service when deemed necessary.* Performing related occupational therapy services as assigned.Qualifications:* Graduate of an approved program in occupational therapy.* Valid and current license as an OT in Massachusetts.* Demonstrated commitment to student progress.* Ability to multi-task and take initiative of multi-tasking.* Finds enjoyment working with a multi-disciplinary team.May Institute is an Equal Opportunity employer of qualified individuals and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status or any other basis protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
