Nashville Promise Zone Jobs & Econ Coordinator Y5The mission of the Nashville Promise Zone (NPZ) is to foster intensive partnerships among Nashville''s organizations that serve high-poverty neighborhoods, improve the collective impact of their service, and address revitalization in a collaborative way. This VISTA position will build the capacity of the NPZ by collaborating with organizations that address poverty with a focus on jobs and economic activity.Member Duties : The Jobs and Economic Development Coordinator will support NPZ Work Groups, Steering Committee and Community Members of NPZ. Responsibilities include the following: • Track and report the number of new professional development certifications earned by NPZ residents. • Evaluate and ensure the participation of appropriate residents and partner organizations in the Jobs and Economic Activity Working Group • Coordinate Jobs and Economic Activity Working Group: scheduling date and location of meetings, setting agendas, as well as recording and distributing meeting minutes to working group mailing list • Attend internal VISTA Team meetings regularly to discuss outcomes, brainstorm next steps to fortify self-sufficiency and overall progress the NPZ, Assist in planning and execution of ongoing NPZ projects with the goal of fostering collaboration • Develop and share stories with meaningful data that illustrate NPZ work toward jobs and economic activityProgram Benefits : Living Allowance , Health Coverage* , Childcare assistance if eligible , Relocation Allowance , Choice of Education Award or End of Service Stipend .*For details about AmeriCorps VISTA healthcare benefits, please visit : Car recommended , Permits working at another job during off hours , Permits attendance at school during off hours .Service Areas : Community and Economic Development .Skills : Business/Entrepreneur , General Skills , Team Work , Community Organization .
