Cutter 1, cuts pads and fabric and material handling and bundling operations. What you''ll do:Reads tickets for style, number, and special instructions.Locate correct pattern and check fabric/leather for defects.Verifies that leather and pattern correspond to ticket.Check dye lots of hides.Marks and cuts pads, fabric and leather to proper pattern sizeMarks and bundles all parts and places in proper storage on table for pick spects work for defects and ensure job specifications are maintainedRecords all yardage and cut information and name on proper cutting tickets.Returns all hides and fabric and partial hides to proper storage area.Assist in loading fabric on the Gerber CutterOff load Gerber Cutter, inspection parts, bundle fabric with pad., mark sides indicating left and right and top.Place sub-assemblies in proper location based on production schedule.Track production on schedule boardsMaintain equipment and work area in an orderly manner.Performs other related duties and assignments as required.Wears all required PPE; works safely at all times and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.Cross train as neededWhat you have:Ability to consistently meet high quality/quantity performance standardsMust comply with company rules, regulations and safety practicesReliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.Work extended hours or days as needed.Ability to effectively communicate information, both orally and written, and respond to questions.Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, while maintaining a positive attitude and approach under pressure.Ability to consistently meet high quality/quantity performance standardsMust comply with company rules, regulations and safety practicesWhat else:Good vision and color perception are essential.Attention to detail requiredHNI Corporation (NYSE: HNI) is a manufacturer of workplace furnishings and building products, operating under two segments.
