TheFutureIsBuiltHereBoeing Global Services is currently seeking a Mid-Level Design, Analysis, and Support Engineer to become part of the Structural Design, Analysis, and Support Team in (Berkeley, MO).Be a part of the One Boeing team supporting the premier supersonic, flagship and stalwart of the United States Navy and Marine Corp fleet, the F/A-18, as well as the venerable T-45. On the team you''ll perform structural & fatigue analysis using well defined analysis tools to validate that components meet requirements and specifications for airworthiness. In this position you must have demonstrated proficiency in analyzing metallic, composite, and bonded structures.The team is looking for someone who is a self-starter, excellent communicator and proficient in structural analysis including load paths, statics, classical hand analysis and fatigue and fracture. A willingness to use and learn various stress analysis tools for Finite Element Modeling and Model Based Definition (including Nastran/Patran, Abaqus, Unigraphics, Stress Check, etc.) is required, in addition to a good working knowledge of Excel. Most importantly, an enthusiasm to contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment where creative solutions for improvement in industry, community, and culture are on the forefront. You''ll be working under close supervision and oversight where growth opportunities are available. You must be able to travel internationally as well as domestically and be willing and able to present your work up to executive levels.Position Description:The successful candidate will someone who is a self-starter, excellent communicator and proficient in structural analysis including load paths, statics, classical hand analysis and fatigue and fracture. The candidate will work independently with minimal supervision.Position Responsibilities:Perform structural analysis, including damage tolerance, fatigue, and strength.Document and publish/release structural designs and analysis results.Ability to evaluate complex vehicles and systems from a multitude of perspectives. Includes the ability to apply figures of merit and integrated optimization tools. Ability to perform multi-disciplinary trade studies to evaluate configuration alternatives for functional and spatial integration.Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.Ability to analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.).This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some job responsibilities on-site (Berkeley, MO).Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor''s Degree in engineering or physicsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5+ years of experience aircraft structural analysis with a Bachelor''s Degree in Engineering or 3+ years of experience aircraft structural analysis with a Masters in Engineering.Typical Education & Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years'' related work experience).
