Employee Type:Full timeLocation:IL ChicagoJob Type:Production MaintenanceJob Posting Title:Maintenance Mechanic IIJob Description:Responsibilities/Duties:Must be dependable, responsible, work with minimal or no supervision to set up, change over, and tear down all production line equipment as needed.Assist the Lead Mechanic, and the Planner/Scheduler to maintain the storeroom MRO parts for material and components requirements for planned work as needed, or as used.Repair and PM the Production equipment, as well as determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed, or improvements that can be made.Ensures assigned maintenance and repair work, is completed as planned and documented correctly.Ensure adherence to food safety and GMP''s in your daily scheduled work.Document assigned PMs and Work Orders in the CMMS system. (MP2)Any other responsibilities as assigned, this is not an all-inclusive Job DescriptionRequired Skills/Abilities:Must possess a good understanding of 480-volt 3 PH electricity to troubleshoot for repairs/replacements.Have basic welding skills and be willing to expand on these skills to include different types of welding (TIG and MIG)Must be able to operate all production machinery, able to handle all facets of repairs to the plant, building, grounds, and production equipmentAssist in the installation, operation, and maintenance of all new equipment.Actively participate in training courses provided by Bay Valley Foods - Treehouse Foods.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with Mechanics, Leads, Management, and other employees.Develops and maintains open communications within area of responsibility and supported departments.Keep key stakeholders apprised of potential problems or issues impacting the business.Demonstrated basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and CMMS software- MP2)Possess strong team-work skills; the ability to deliver results with and through people.Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.Skills: Independent thinking, strong organizational, excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills are essential.Acts with high integrity and honesty in good times and bad.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Considerable knowledge of Automated equipment, PLC, Electrical, Mechanical, PSM and building systems such as HVAC, Ammonia Compressors, Brine Room, Wastewater, and Hot Water Boiler systems.Ability to communicate to all levels of knowledge and experience, both verbal and written communication.Ability to identify issues and determine appropriate repairs.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent required.At least 5 years of Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.Working Conditions:Work 40+ hours in a weekPrimary role is: 15% walking, 85% standingAbility to support facility needs at all hoursAbility to communicate, hear and understand verbal instructionAbility to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. carrying up to 10 feet distanceAbility to effectively and appropriately wear PPE in required areas.
