National pump station design specialist leader

Job DescriptionFirst and foremost, this is a diverse role. You''ll act as the pump station design specialist leader for Mott MacDonald and utilize your intricate knowledge to help us grow in this market. From cradle to grave, you''ll be involved in a variety of the projects in the northeast and across the US.This position can be based in any of Mott MacDonald''s offices.You''ll also be tasked with:Serving as the national pump station specialist leader.Building on the strong foundation of water & wastewater pump station projects, help us increase our market share across the northeast and US.Providing top quality input into proposals and into business development efforts to build the business in the northeast and US.Growing and nurturing external relationships and build and maintain strong networks with key clients, business partners and competitors, driving joint initiatives where appropriate and using these networks to influence, close deals and impact the growth and direction of the business.Acting as a role model and ambassador for Mott MacDonald, articulating and representing the brand, vision and value proposition internally and externally including active role in AWWA, WEF, and/or Hydraulic Institute publications and presenting at national, regional and local forums.Establishing and nurturing an innovative, challenging, collaborative and high performing work environment, which supports and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture where results are driven by a total team effort.Candidate SpecificationWe''re looking to welcome a candidate to serve as our national pump station specialist leader with key experience in the northeast who has a track record of developing and maintaining commercial and technical solutions and can demonstrate a wide network of contacts within the industry. We''d love to speak to you further about the position and invite applications from candidates with:15 to 20 years of experience in pump station hydraulics, planning, and design (>50 MGD preferred).A degree in civil engineering and preferably a master''s degree.Registered Professional Engineer in the US, preferred in the northeast states.Self-directed with ability to work well / seamlessly with a larger team.Solid communication and presentation skills.Direct experience and expertise with water and wastewater pump stations:Planning and hydraulic modeling.Development and evaluation of facility replacements, expansions, and upgrades.Design and supervision of the preparation of detailed design drawings and specifications for new facilities and the replacement, expansion, and upgrade of existing facilities.Optimizing pump station performance.Troubleshooting of pump stations.Constructability reviews.System components (valves, controls, SCADA, electrical, meters, etc.).Preparation of engineering and project reports.Job ProfileHere at Mott MacDonald, we are experts in engineering, management, and development services supporting multisector project work in over 150 countries.
