Job Description

C&S Companies is looking for a Construction Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager to manage or assist in construction oversight for multi-dwelling housing projects with our C&S team. Areas of focus will be pre-construction, scope reviews, value engineering, overall scheduling, plan set validation, contracting, budget management, coordination of construction team, RFI management/submission, submittals/shop drawings, sub contracts, change orders verification and team leadership. This is a San Diego County position and requires in office and or onsite attendance.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for leading a team or working within a team.Responsible for pre-construction buy out, scope gap reviews, value engineering, overall scheduling, budget management, RFI management/submission, submittals/shop drawings, sub contracts, change orders verification and team leadership.Manages and or assists field superintendent with document controls, submittal, and all associated e-construction input.Responsible for coordinating and scheduling subcontractor activities, documenting construction occurrences and activities, and ensure the quality and compliance with plans and specs are met.Ensures that subcontractors, Sr. Superintendent, Superintendent and all crews have the materials, equipment, and information necessary to perform the job.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic knowledge of the construction industry and construction principles/practices.Must have experience in submittal reviews, plan set comprehension, and jurisdictional coordination.Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, plus ability to manage a team of varied disciplinesStrong work ethic and desire to work in a team environmentAdvanced knowledge of MS office, MS ProjectProficiency with Procore and Bluebeam required Minimum Required Education & Experience Minimum of two (2) multi-dwelling projects within the last four (4) years on a project management team. Individuals with no budget management, scheduling or admin experience on a multi-dwelling project will not be considered for this assignment.Bachelor''s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related degree or five years (5) construction management experience with a firm.Must have understanding of market rate or affordable housing type projects.WHO WE ARE: C&S Companies, operating for more than 50 years, is a national planning, design and construction firm with over 500 employees and growing.
