You control your future.Job Description:For this location only - Pay rate: $15.00-$18.00 per hour Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a body technician trainee for our Technician Development Program. This is a unique experience where we will personally match you with a mentor that best meets your learning style. During this 18-month journey, you will develop your body work skills and continue to challenge yourself to reach the next level. The training will prepare you to be a stand-alone technician upon completion of the program.Benefits:2 Weeks PTOWeekly PayHealth CareVisionDental401K + 6% company matchProgram Highlights:Potential for a 6 figure income in just 5 years!Gradual raises and bonuses throughout the 18 monthsComplete set of tools with box valued at $7,000Full-time employment including benefits and paid time off starting day 1Hands-on training, coaching, and developmentDaily instruction that will prepare you for a career in the collision industryMentors that care about you succeeding as much as you doStructured curriculum that outlines each phase of your trainingResponsibilities:Assist the mentor in checking all parts for accuracy before starting the repair and notify the parts manager of any incorrect parts or other discrepanciesThe trainee is responsible for assisting the mentor with all aspects of the repair process, as listed on the repair order under the supervision of a mentorRefit new parts such as; bumpers, fenders, grills, moldings, and other bolt-on itemsComplete all repairs in a manner such that the repaired areas are restored to the original manufacturer''s specifications, including door, hood, and deck alignments, chassis and frame measurements, and welded on unibody partsMaintain high levels of quality controlQualifications:18 years of ageAbility to work full-time, 40 hours a weekLift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for long periods of timeHave a valid driver''s licenseAbility to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlAbility to effectively communicate and take direction from superiorsAbility to read and understand a work orderHigh School Diploma/ GED preferredPlease note that you do not need any collision experience or training to be considered for this role.
