Job Description

* Ensures the proper and timely billing of all receivables, including individual, group, and credit cards. Follows through and documents all written and verbal collection efforts for all accounts receivable. Responds to all inquiries regarding accounts receivable. Researches charge backs and disputed charges • Maintains the City Ledger containing information related to charges, amounts, date incurred, payments received, and billing address of debtor. • Maintains the Direct Bill Authorization File and ensures that the proper procedures are followed to approve new direct bill accounts. • Maintains the control log for checks of payments received and records same against outstanding accounts receivable. • Prepares daily revenue report and submits it to Home Office in accordance with AFP Management''s policies and procedures. Compiles allowances and paid-outs for General Manager approval. • Prepares daily Food and Beverage income audit. Maintains control of restaurant and lounge guest checks and ensures proper accounting of Food and Beverage gratuity reporting. • Prepares sales tax exempt report on a monthly basis. • Reviews and ensures that all policies and procedures of AFP Management are followed. • Audits house banks and safes. • Works closely and cooperates with the supervisors of all departments in the collection of financial data. • Reviews all banquet bills and verifies accuracy in accordance with contracts and other documentation.Other Duties: • Maintains proper storage of all records and receipts. • Participates in the Manager on Duty Program • Performs other duties as assigned my management.Requirements:Essential Requirements • Ability to correctly complete forms and cross checking the accuracy of numbers taken from a variety of forms. • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills required to interact with guest, corporate Accounts Payable Departments and handle all Front Desk responsibilities. • Must be able to exert reasonably paced mobility to utilize all equipment and move about the property, as needed.Other RequirementsA minimum level of 2 years of on-the-job experience in a position in a hotel accounting management position.
