Summary About the Position: As a Test Administrator, you will administer tests to individuals wishing to enter the military and high school students participating in the Career Exploration Program. This position does not provide guaranteed work hours each week, and work will be assigned on an intermittent ''as needed basis''. Intermittent employees are not eligible for benefits. Travel is req''d to testing sites, personally owned vehicles are req''d to be used and travel reimbursement is authorized. Responsibilities Conduct specified aptitude examination sessions ranging in size from 1 to 40 persons (Enlistment tests) and 1 to 250 persons (student tests). Instruct applicants on testing procedures and starts, observes, times and ends the test or test segment as directed. Monitor applicants to detect possible imposters and deal with those imposters. Maintain test room control and decorum with the assistance of military recruiters who assist in maintaining student test session control and test security. Prepare applicant packages and mail documents to appropriate offices for action. Pick up and return controlled test material at the designated storage, a remote testing location, or shipping point. Responsible for the maintenance of enlistment test booklets, student test booklets, and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) at the local test site. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. General Experience: One year of general experience. General experience is progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled, such as, answering telephones, greeting visitors, handling controlled test material, filing and operating office equipment. OR Education: Two years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Integrity/HonestySpeaking Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
