We love what we do.The Purpose:The Business Systems Data Analyst is responsible for managing inventory data and serving as a systems expert for the software that manages our rental and client-owned inventory across 20 locations and two million square feet of warehouse space. The position resides within the IT organization but will work closely with several key teams throughout the country including Warehouse Management, Account Management and Logistics. The assets managed in our inventory systems are tracked through many complicated movements that touch multiple warehouses, event sites and client facilities - attention to detail and accuracy is critical in this role to ensure all movements are documented and tracked accurately for full traceability.The Job:Gather user requirements for a new inventory management system implementationResponsible for the inventory management cycle and best practices across the organizationManages, manipulates, updates, and verifies inventory items in the software systemsGenerates inventory reports and related documentation of shipments and transfersUses data manipulation tools, including advanced Excel functions and database lookups to gather and manipulate data for desired outcomesImplements inventory control protocols within the softwareParticipates in meetings related to inventory planning and movementsSupports specialty departments like Rentals to manage and track items utilizing department-specific standardsAssists in inventory and asset data tasks related to billing and other accounting-related functionsProvides inventory software support as needed to internal IT teams and system end-usersTrains employees on the inventory systemsTravels occasionally (approximately 5 times per year) to multiple US-based warehouse sites to lead customer inventory audits and training, as requiredActively participates in the implementation of a new inventory system, providing data manipulation as required for imports and exports between systemsThe Person:Must currently reside in the Chicago area (no relocation)Must be willing to work in the Pilsen office 2+ days a weekAssociate Degree requiredMust be authorized to work in the USExperience with database-backed logistics and inventory systemsPrior Experience as a functional business analyst gathering user requirements for system implementations is required.Familiar with tools to extract, refine and manipulate dataExperience with Inventory Management cyclePrevious inventory management implementation experience is desiredMust be willing to travel as required, to US-based warehouse facilitiesPossess excellent communication skills, attention to detail and accuracyFast learner who works independently and proactivelyMust be able to lift and carry up to 35 poundsMust be able to work in a dusty environment in either heat or cold for short periodsCore Value StatementCzarnowski will create and sustain the highest level of service and customer experience through our unique and passionate culture.
