Quality Control Specialist - Final ReleaseThe Quality Control Specialist - Final Release performs quality control functions in relation to the processing and release of human tissue grafts for transplantation. In this important position, you will work to decrease, investigate and write reports on QC related deviations, and actively participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions, ensuring that operations are in keeping with all applicable standards of accreditation and all regulatory requirements.2nd Shift, Sunday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM*This position is not a remote opportunity.*Essential Job FunctionsPerforms testing, inspection and review of tissue grafts/packaging, ensuring that all grafts released for processing, packaging, labeling and/or distribution meet all applicable regulations, standards and customer specifications. Ensures proper disposition of all products.Tracks errors, identifies trends and assists in documents error investigations. Monitors processes and evaluates the need for preventive action. Actively participates in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions and performs effectiveness checks as needed.Audits manufacturing records and approves tissue grafts for release to distribution.Performs all environmental and personnel monitoring/testing, review, and follow-up.Performs irradiation dose audits; assesses new grafts for dose audit, dose mapping and family induction requirements.Coordinates dose mapping at irradiation itiates the appropriate internal documents, ensures events are closed in a timely manner, and ensures that notifications/responses are made. Ensures proper corrective and preventive actions are taken and documented. Ensures the completion of all effectiveness checks. Write and revise SOPs.Assists in validation initiatives as needed. Reviews processes to ensure conformance to validation relevant parameters.Assists in setting up new test functions or equipment procedures in order to assure adequate quality control and performance standards. Recognizes and solves problems; assists the department with implementation of Solutions.Monitors temperature of controlled equipment and investigates deviations.Performs other duties as assigned.
