The RN has knowledge of professional nursing principles, practices, concepts, and procedures as applied to the care of the patient population served.The CRN serves as a coordinator, clinical nurse, educator, consultant, and leader in clinical research. Applies experience and knowledge to execute complex research protocols within the clinical setting. Interacts daily with physicians, nurse practitioners, management, staff, patients, and families to promote clinical expertise, patient safety, resource utilization and adherence to regulations for research.Partners with the patient and care team members to manage complex physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual symptoms of patients and families. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnoses, and utilizes the nursing diagnosis to develop, implement, evaluate, and revise an appropriate patient plan of care that is family centered, developmentally and age-appropriate, and culturally relevant.
