VideosHelp Duties Use knowledge of nursing principles and practices to monitor and evaluate State enforcement of Medicare/Medicaid standards and applicable regulations. Advise officials of State and local agencies, professional organizations, and community groups on Federal health care programs and regulations. Work with various components of the States, with professional societies and associations, groups representing health care providers, and beneficiary representatives in formulating and modifying guidelines and procedures. Provide expert health survey advice to State health care associations, as well as consumer and advocacy groups. Make judgments regarding severity and impact of provider deficient practices and write reports of findings.
