SUMMARY: The Digital Strategist is responsible for the successful management of digital strategy for United. The role requires a progressive-minded thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of marketing and sales to drive positive brand exposure and customer growth. This role combines an in-depth knowledge of business objectives, online strategies with a competitive landscape to deliver efficient and effective digital marketing recommendations and execution. This person handles the day-to-day management and execution while also developing longer-term strategies and testing optimization. This role will also coordinate with our digital agency as needed and manage special digital projects. The person for this role exemplifies a mindset for excellence, milestone-generating performance and an attitude to deliver the best customer experience of the telecommunications industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required. Develops unique strategies and builds upon current strategies within the digital arena to meet/exceed objectives. Executes projects to be high quality, on-time and cost-effective/on budget. Fosters timeline development and monitors progress, ensuring deadlines are met. Manages and executes digital tactics. Develops strong, trusting relationships with internal staff and external partners, providing leadership and support during strategy, ideation, and execution. Manages internal expectations, bringing issues/concerns to attention before they become problems, offering potential solutions, and advising of potential delivery delays. Works with Marketing team to ensure team and strategies are aligned. Proactively keeps abreast of marketing, media and promotional plans, and provides technological solutions including rich media, site optimization, promotional ideas, mobile, social networks, viral, etc. Manages digital promotions and prospect/customer forms for lead generation. Develops a total understanding of online target audience and mindset modes. Writes and transmits digital reports, campaign metrics and analysis. Concept, write, edit and post content for social media; all primary channels. Assess social media performance and direct creative, messaging and placement to improve key metrics; determine the right blend of topics and images to generate engagement and interest. Support content development for website, blogs, news, etc. Ensures accountability is established with team members as needed during the project planning process. Assist with the creation of marketing collateral, both printed and web-based. JOB QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS: Education, Experience, Skills, and Licenses/Certificates: College degree in a marketing or related field preferred. Experience in digital marketing with a minimum of 3 years; experience with SEO, SEM, digital display and social media preferred. Up-to-date knowledge of digital best practices, strategies, digital touchpoints and latest platforms and trends. Creative design for digital application a plus. PC Skills requires an advanced understanding of web analytics, digital search, digital display, basic html coding, paid social, organic social media management platforms, computer hardware and software, along with the ability to review and analyze reports in company systems. Knowledge and Personal Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal skills. Strong conceptual and design skills with the ability to offer creative input and design solutions. Strong relationship-building ability with proactive, results-oriented, and resourceful approaches. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong multi-tasking abilities. Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy, excellent product quality and attention to detail. Knowledge of commonly used website and HTML development tools is a plus. Possess strong organizational, time management and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
