Job Number: R0144313 Environmental EngineerKey Role: Leverage environmental and hazardous materials management expertise to DoD weapon system acquisition programs from R & D through disposal. Provide overall management of the environmental program for DoD weapon systems through developing and maintaining relationships with PM customers. Prepare National Environmental Policy Act ( NEPA ) documents. Prepare Programmatic Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluations. Integrate environmental and hazardous materials management requirements into acquisition documentation and enforcement of those requirements. Provide guidance on environmental related laws, regulations, and environmental hazard analysis, risk management IAW MIL-STD-882, and policy analysis. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely. Basic Qualifications: * Experience with environmental regulations, National Environmental Policy Act, environmental risk and hazard management, hazardous materials identification, tracking and minimization * Experience with te chn ical writing and presentations or implementation of scientific principles * Experience with environmental or hazardous materials training * Ability to present ideas and te chn ical information to customers verbally and via written reports * Ability to obtain a security clearance * Bachelor''s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Biology Additional Qualifications: * Experience recommending, in coordination with coatings and corrosion engineers, suitable alternative coatings and materials in place of obsolete specifications or for reduction of hazardous materials * Experience with Army acquisition process * Knowledge of DODI 5000 Series environmental requirements * Knowledge of current and upcoming environmental laws, regulations, and policies and applicability to DoD weapon systems * Master''s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Biology Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information .
