LABOR CATEGORY : Financial Systems Analyst SEHLKE POSITION TITLE : Manager / SME LOCATION : Newport, RI JOB DESCRIPTION : Financial Systems Analyst: Developing draft project management plans, definitized tasking documentation, and cost estimates; Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Financial/Cost Analysis. Provide advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets. Measure organizational performance; assess the effects of various programs and policies on the budget. Analysts examine budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. May employ cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods. Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect organization''s spending. May conduct training sessions for company or government agency personnel across multiple funding types. Track budgets, costs, and variance. Produce executive summaries. Develop COAs and recommendations for financial issues. Interpret and apply financial management principles. Apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals. Duties and expectations include, but are not limited to the following: CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS : Secret Clearance EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS : Bachelor''s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Mandatory: Yes EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated experience in developing draft project management plans, definitized tasking documentation, and cost estimates; Demonstrated experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) and Financial/Cost Analysis. Minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated experience with current Navy financial systems and Navy ERP Transactions.
