Summary * The Visitor Welcome Center Specialist is responsible for staffing the DARPA Visitor Welcome Center. Responsibilities * Greets and processes visitors. * Provides escort for visitors, with special emphasis on foreign nationals, personnel without clearances, and maintenance personnel. * Accurately and completely documents each visit and visitor. * Maintains a database that records the details of the visitor and escort work effort * Processes and issues a variety of employee and visitor identification badges * Receives and sends Visit Authorization Letters (VALs) and records information contained in the VALs into the DARPA database. Qualifications * High school diploma. * Must be 21 years of age * One (1) year performing similar duties in a DoD environment. * Top Secret, with eligibility for SAP and SCI access. * Successful completion of the requirements for Preventing Disease Transmission (i.e., blood-borne pathogens). * Successful completion of all training required by the contract. * Qualified and certified (licensed) as an Unarmed Security Officers in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of Virginia. * Certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) First Responder - Awareness Level, and certified to use and operate X-ray and Magnetometer devices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Knowledge of DARPA and DoD directives pertaining to visitor control operations in a classified environment * Skill in satisfactorily dealing with customers * Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment * Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. * Ability to be qualified and certified as an Unarmed Security Officer in the State of Virginia * Ability to be certified in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) First Responder- Awareness Level * Ability to be certified to use and operate X-Ray and Magnetometer devices * Ability to: provide clear, concise, and accurate written and verbal communication.
