$5000 HIRING BONUS*Our ASC is expanding! We need two Surgical Techs to provide safe and efficient care for our patients. We provide services for Orthopedics, including Total Joint Replacement, Podiatry, ENT, General, Urology, Neuro, GYN, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management.Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including two doses of a 2-dose series or a single dose of a 1-dose series prior to start date. Fully vaccinated is defined as 14 days post series completion date.Facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required sterile instruments, supplies and equipment. Ensures that instruments and supplies are clean, sterilized, and available as needed. Provides hands on assisting with scrub role. Maintains the sterile field, anticipates, and responds to the needs of the surgical team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:* Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure.* Preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.* Performing accounting procedures in concert with the RN circulator.* Assisting with placement of sterile drapes.* Providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and* maintaining an organized sterile field.* Ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed and preparing sterile dressings.* Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.* Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.* Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub person activities.* Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health informationSKILLS AND ABILITIES:* Ability to interact effectively with patients and providers in high-pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy.* Ability to provide technical assistance during procedures.* Ability to work independently while functioning as a team member.* Ability to organize and prioritize workflow independently.* Ability to appropriately act in urgent and emergency situations.* Excellent written and oral communication skills.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.* WA State Surgical Technologist Registration required.* Certified surgical technologist (CST) preferred.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.* One year perioperative services experience preferred.* Hiring bonus paid $1700 after three months of employment, and $3300 after one year of employment.
