All current and newly hired employees are required to follow onsite safety measures based upon the COVID-19 Community Level at the specific work location.Description:Lockheed Martin Missile & Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Associate Manager to lead a team of talented SQE''s supporting a set of key THAAD production program suppliers. This position will be based in Grand Prairie, TX. This position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States. The position is responsible for managing/coordinating a team co-located in Grand Prairie, TX as well as field engineers across the United States. The Supplier Quality Engineering team supports major subcontracts relating to Propulsion and Ordnance as well as commodity suppliers supporting the Ground product for THAAD. Manage customer and supplier interactions and relationships. Oversee collaborations with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in placeLead a Supplier Quality team, focus on implementing process improvements, efficiencies, and cost improvement activities that benefit THAAD program affordability and performanceResponsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.Monitors the audit of quality systems for deficiency identification and proper correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective / preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action RequestsEnsure performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements Participate in supplier''s failure/diagnosis and THAAD specific Material Review Board (MRB) activities Provide focus and expertise to on-going surveillance of supplier''s validating conformance to industry standards, as well as THAAD customer unique requirements (MAP, RAM and QAPP). Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the ''Mid-Cities'' region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. The region offers a great cost of living combined with a robust economy and a pleasant climate. The Mid-Cities is the suburban region filling the thirty-mile span between Dallas and Fort Worth. These communities include the cities of Arlington, Irving, Grand Prairie, Grapevine, Southlake, Colleyville, HEB (Hurst, Euless and Bedford), NRH (North Richland Hills and Richland Hills), Haltom City, Watauga, and Keller, along with multiple other smaller towns such as Trophy Club and Roanoke and together represent more people than either Dallas or Fort Worth.Basic Qualifications:Technical Engineering degree at the Bachelor level or higher or equivalent work experience Must have ability to obtain to obtain a Secret security clearance. Must have the ability to travel (30%) An understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Able to identify and document supplier''s quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems Comprehensive understanding of engineering requirements Comprehensive understanding of engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods Comprehensive understanding of AS9100 and AS9102 standards Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment Must be able to multi-task Effective communication skills (both oral and written) Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts (Buyers) and Government RepresentativesDesired Skills:A strong understanding of the MFC SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems, and experience with MDA requirements (MAP, RAM and the QAPP).
