The Center for Court Innovation is a non-profit organization that works to create a more effective and humane justice system by performing original research and helping launch reforms by guiding justice innovators, nationally and internationally. The Center creates operating projects that have been documented to reduce the use of jail and prison, assist victims of crime, and strengthen communities.The Center''s RISE Project seeks to respond to the intersection of gun violence and intimate partner violence. RISE builds community capacity to prevent and respond to intimate partner violence, engages individuals who are causing harm to take accountability and change their behavior, and supports positive community norms around relationships. RISE''s approach is community-centered, survivor-informed, and holistic, rooted in principles of safety, accountability, and transformative justice.RISE seeks a Social Worker to join the Community Initiatives team, focused on working with people experiencing intimate partner violence. Reporting to the Program Manager, Community Initiatives, the Social Worker will provide counseling and resources coordination services. This will include individual and group-based interventions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Conduct outreach, engagement, and program enrollment; Provide comprehensive, trauma-informed, individual counseling in community-based settings to youth and adult participants;Create engagement and aftercare plans for all participants in collaboration with other RISE staff;Identify and engage client''s support system if needed;Provide voluntary referrals to community-based services and maintain communication with service providers to ensure appropriate follow-up;Accompany participants to community-based appointments and provide advocacy; Facilitate workshops and group sessions with RISE participants;Participate in regular meetings with external stakeholders;Provide referrals related to health, school, employment, housing, food security, as needed;Provide 24/7 crisis management services as part of a rotating on-call schedule;Utilize online databases to track participant activities and outcomes;Submit regular monthly reports to Program Manager to capture pertinent program data;Develop and maintain thriving relationships with community partners and attend community meetings and events which may take place in evenings and on weekends;Provide coverage and support for other RISE programming as needed;Participate in staff meetings and staff development activities as required;Perform other relevant program duties as assigned.Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be a LMSW or have an equivalent Master''s level counseling certification and a minimum of two years'' experience working in community-based settings. Candidates will have experience providing trauma-informed counseling, group facilitation, and crisis management services with a commitment to an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and social justice-centered practice. Additional qualifications include:Familiarity with restorative and transformative practices, healing centered approaches, and strengths-based approaches;Good judgement, excellent communication skills, and organizational and multi-tasking abilities;Car and driver''s license a plus; Experience with technology and video platforms such as Zoom preferred.Position Type: Full-time, exempt 10am-6pm (Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays and weekends). Compensation: The salary is $58,500 and is commensurate with experience.
