Job Title: Forklift Operator IDepartment: Jar LineReport to Job Title: Production SupervisorFair Labor Standards Act Status (FLSA): Exempt Non-Exempt X HourlySummary of the Position:The forklift operator I is qualified to operate electric pallet jacks and/or sit-down and/or stand-up forklift. The person in this position possesses entry level skills to perform the day to day activities within the receiving/warehouse department, including raw receiving dock, finished goods dock or production line support.Duties and Responsibilities:* Unloads trucks/containers of raw or FG (finished goods) items, verifies receipt to order documentation, signs and stamps bill of lading, receives inventory into the system using WMS scanning equipment, and verifies/applies LP''s as directed. Picks work order demands, stages product for production use and returns unused items back to inventory. (65%)* Inspects trucks and documents findings. Transfers processed product into FG or coolers storage location. (10%)* Keeps receiving/warehouse area clean and organized. Sweeps, picks up trash, tapes up any open cases and organizes empty pallets, etc. (10%)* Changes equipment batteries, conducts pre-op inspection on all material handling equipment used and reports any equipment issues or damages. Properly uses and cares for hand-held scanning equipment. (5%)* Rotates inventory and follows FIFO (first in-first out) or FEFO (first expired-first out) process, depending on job function. (5%)* Adheres to all safety and GMP rules, including allergen segregation and organic product handling. Attends assigned training. (5%)* Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory requirements.* Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.* Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.* Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills and information within assigned team and across functional areas.* Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Supervisory Responsibility:Does this position have supervisory responsibility? Yes X NoQualifications:* Forklift driving experience and knowledge of safe forklift operation.* Material handling equipment certification required.* Ability to read, write and speak English.* Basic math skills
