Reporting to the Engineering Group Manager, you will join a team that includes several other engineers. While there will be some support of existing products, your key responsibilities will include providing technical product design expertise to the new product development and launch function.To be a good fit for the Senior Product Design Engineer opportunity, you will have:* An undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or another related field required.* 5+ years of experience in a related technical field, ideally working with electromechanical components. Experience with sensors is a plus.* Proficient skill level with a 3D solid modeling CAD system, preferably Solid Edge, and familiarity with design for manufacturability.* Experience with plastic and metal, including selecting and applying engineering polymers, ferrous and non-ferrous metal and associated manufacturing processes (in particular, injection molding and stamping).* Automotive industry experience is preferred but not required.* Legal authorization to work for any employer in the US. *We touch millions of lives globally every day.* CTS is a leading designer and manufacturer of sensors, actuators, and electronic components for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
