Role: Critical Facilities Engineer IVLocation: Chicago (IL)Duration: Long term ContractKey QualificationsKnowledge of basic electrical and mechanical systems and NFPA70e and OSHA Regulations that pertain to data centersAbility to learn and perform basic practical applications maintenance for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other infrastructure systemsAbility to learn the operationally sound manipulation of electrical systems that support systems in high-availability, high-risk, or high-reliability environmentsLearn the basics of critical equipment and help in the response to irregular or malfunctioning conditions.Assist in the response to emergency situations that impact the operations and coordinates with other critical facilities professionals to perform corrective repairs.Learn how to read and interpret fire system, electrical system, and mechanical system drawings.Learn and follow all federal, state, and local regulations for operations and work safety to include knowledge of safety procedures and equipment, procedures, and established techniques.DescriptionThis position requires excellent verbal/written communication skills and excellent time management skills. Typically, with a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience in a critical environment. This team member is able to learn and perform all assigned tasks while attaining the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business. Team members are required to have considerable judgment and initiative with minimal direction. Understands the implications of work to ask questions and make sound recommendations for possible solutions. They consistently demonstrate ability to learn and follow established procedures for assigned activities and collaborate cross functionally with other teams as well as vendors and suppliers to complete assignments and achieve goals.Education High School diploma or GED equivalent - provided by Dice
