Job Purpose: The Desk Officer works onsite for a US Government client and supports that client''s worldwide operations on specific issues or geographies Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Functions: > Support a wide range of operational and programmatic activities to manage operations in specific geographic areas, or against specific issues> Manage and track ongoing program progress; staff appropriate approvals; conduct substantive briefings; communicate client guidance to global resources> Conduct detailed analysis using government databases and writing standards> Draft formal correspondence per government client standards> All other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Experience: > Level 1: One (1) or more years of experience> Level 2: Three (3) or more years of experience> Level 3: Seven (7) or more years of experience> Level 4: Twelve (12) or more years of experience> Level 5: Twenty (20) or more years of experience> Bachelor''s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university> Current experience directly in the Intelligence Community related to support to global counter-terrorism HUMINT operations. Current experience providing HQS staffing support for global HUMINT operations, including familiarity with Intelligence Community client internal correspondence standards; staffing protocols; technical research tools; and classified databases.> Experience in Intelligence Community client-specific global intelligence issues. Formal training, certification, and global work experience highly desired.> Current US Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph> Willingness to work on-site in the Washington, DC area Attributes: > Advanced skills in common desktop applications, internet, and social media use> This is a customer-facing position representing FRDA to client employees. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.> Highly motivated, self-starter with demonstrated ability to spot new opportunities and spearhead new initiatives> A friendly and collaborative attitude; ability to work well independently and in groups with minimal supervision; ability to navigate ambiguity, embrace client oversight at all levels, and balance competing demands> Technical savvy is a must.
