As the Associate Medical Director and a key member of the Global Neuropsychiatry team, you will work closely with with the Head of Neuropsychiatry and be responsible for the development, launch readiness of disease state education for internal and external audiences to ensure communication and medical priorities are developed.You will be responsible for executing and/or overseeing the execution of content development for internal and external materials such as presentations, talking points, materials for advisory boards, and medical training.What You''ll DoIn collaboration with Head of Neuropsychiatry - support the development of global medical strategy and global medical launch readiness plans Serve as needed as point of contact for important cross-functional partners (PDC, Clinical Development, Commercial, Market Access, Regional Medical, Pipeline SEE)Support Head of Neuropsychiatry in cross functional efforts to ensure key communication priorities and data gaps are capture from global and affiliateProvide medical expertise to and lead cross-functional teams and projects especially related to data generation initiativesIn partnership with the director, establish strong partnerships across 3 million plus patient advocacyPlan and develop global Key Medical Expert (KME) / Key Opinion Leader (KOL) initiatives including advisory boards, congress engagement, and collaboration with regional planning activitiesWho You Are You are a driven leader with the ability to think globally and big picture as it relates to the advancement of therapeutic units, especially within the neuropsychiatry space. You have a strong understanding of study initiation and championing ideas/projects, with an ability to readily examine and understand issues from multiple perspectives. You successfully worked in highly matrixed environment and posses expert knowledge of scientific medical and regulatory information.QualificationsMD, PhD (Life Sciences) or PharmD requiredMinimum 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and / or a combination of clinical/research experienceExperience with depression, neuropsychiatry, business development, and/or medical affairsRelevant experience in Medical Affairs or research and development (and/or other pharma industry experience)Ability to interact internally and externally to support advancing Medical Affairs-directed research independently with minimal supervisionDemonstrated success with vendor selection, contract negotiations and management of international studies, with investigator and/or company sponsored research, and with studies to assess patient perspectives, preferences, and burden of illnessProvided input to the digital neuropsychiatry platform strategic direction to ensure development and implementation of the foundational scientific framework is on plan in collaboration with Global Marketing, Value & Access, R&D and AffiliatesDemonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure regional activities are executed in alignment with global medical strategy and ensuring the insights and needs from them are known and properly addressed*LI-RD8Additional InformationThrough cutting-edge science and medicine, Biogen passionately seeks to discover, develop, and deliver to patients worldwide innovative therapies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases and autoimmune disorders.
