Find your future with us.The Virtual Warfare Center Infrastructure team is looking for an experienced IT Engineer to join our team to support our Colorado Springs, Colorado, Seal Beach, California, and Seattle, Washington locations. The Infrastructure team is responsible for the design, maintenance, and operation of the computing, networking, audio visual, and physical environment.Position ResponsibilitiesDefines and validates complex requirements for new and revised hardware and software systemsLeads the design, development and test of applications and systemsLeads development of trade studies and other forms of analysis to formulate optimum solutions for usersGuides and coordinates development and deployment of new or revised processes in support of new computing systems, including documentation and training Facilitates development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processesLeads and coordinates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirementsMentors less experienced employeesWorks under minimal directionConfigure and maintain the VWC Space Team''s operating environmentSupport the Space Team''s event schedule providing onsite technical supportAid the Seal Beach and Seattle VWC locations with configuration and maintenanceAssist in upgrade plans and technology roadmap implementationSupport the entire VWC WAN environment, interacting with teammates across the countryPeriodic travel (25%) to provide support to our Seal Beach, CA and Seattle, WA locations as neededThis position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI US Security clearance (Post-Start).Basic Qualifications5+ years'' experience with Windows Systems AdministrationSecurity+ or equivalent IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140)Must have or have you held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 monthsPreferred QualificationsPossess a Technical Bachelor''s, Master''s or a PhD degree? (A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)Experience using Linux Red HatExperience providing system administration of RedHat 7.x or 8Experience with install/setup/maintenance of NetApp Storage ArraysExperience executing DoD STIGs for operating systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2016+)Installation, setup, and support of large-scale Audio/Visual systemsTypical Education/ExperienceEducation/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years'' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years'' related work experience, Master+7 years'' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.RelocationRelocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
