DescriptionThis is a PRN - per diem 10 hour shift position in the Cath Lab at Northwest Medical CenterGreat opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work on a cohesive team in a friendly Cath Lab department at Northwest Medical Center! This position is for an Experienced Cath Lab RNUnique opportunity for experienced RN''s in Cath Lab to expand skillset to include Structural Heart, Electrophysiology, TAVR, Mitral Clips, Watchman, Tandem Heart & care for high risk PCI patients in a supportive atmosphere dedicated to growth and education.Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures in the Cath Lab. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients'' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.Position Qualifications/Minimum RequirementsEducation :Associate''s Degree in Nursing or Diploma Program required. BSN preferred.Experience :Sufficient previous clinical experience in area of expertise.Licenses/Certifications:''Required:Current Arizona RN license or compact state licenseBLS Basic Cardiac & ACLS ( American Heart Association or American Red Cross)Northwest Medical Center is a 300-bed hospital offering a full range of healthcare services including emergency services, accredited chest pain and heart failure programs, neurology and neurosurgery, outpatient imaging, a nationally accredited surgical weight loss program, total joint program, spine program and stroke center (recognized with Gold Seal designations by The Joint Commission), robotic surgery, GI lab, a free-standing womens center, inpatient rehabilitation facility, wound care center, five urgent care facilities, and three ambulatory surgery centers.
